Toby Stuart

Toby has been working in the Fisheries related industry for over 20 years of which 11 have been for Freestone Aquatics.  Receiving a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999, Toby has been working near or in streams, rivers, ponds and lakes of the Rocky Mountain West ever since. Toby has performed assessments and completed successful projects in lentic and lotic environments of all the Major Colorado River drainages.  

Current responsibilities at Freestone include; all 404, State, County and local municipality permitting and coordination, Design and Supervise all Upland and Aquatic Resource Delineations and Survey, Project Specific Baseline Conditions Study Design and Coordination, Aeration System Design Engineer, Stillwater Fisheries Monitoring, Maintenance and Restoration Specialist. 

Over the course of any given year, during field season, you may find Toby behind the controls of an excavator or other pieces of heavy machinery working to install a Freestone design attribute, or performing GPS survey collecting post construction survey for a recently completed project or for a new project on the Freestone horizon.  When not in the field, Toby may be found processing field data, or working with Freestone Engineers to fine tune working projects and designs. Outside of work, Toby will likely be camping, hiking, biking, and fishing with his family or potentially catching a baseball game at Coors field.
