Stillwater Management and Construction

Lake and Pond Restoration is a common need for all stillwater ecosystems that are not continually monitored and properly managed. We have a wide spectrum of tools and experience that can be applied to Lake and Pond Restoration. Freestone has been involved with large lake restoration projects with substantial challenges and rewards, as well as, small ponds that simply needed a light touch and a revised management plan. We believe that every lake and pond is unique and treat each project as such.

It is well understood that all lakes and ponds that are not in balance will eventually go through a degradation process. Whether a lake’s limiting factor is sedimentation, overgrowth of aquatic vegetation, diminished water quality, or high temperatures, applying the correct lake restoration methods can produce excellent results. Some of Freestone Aquatics' lake and pond restoration interventions include fish population management, increased spawning habitat, increased forage base for fish, aquatic vegetation management, aeration, and water source improvements.
